Sobiah read Politics & International Relations at Brookes University and then went onto complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and her Legal Practice Course with University of Law. Sobiah completed her training contract with Reeds Solicitors in Oxford in 2016 and has practiced in the Thames Valley area, joining Stowe Family Laws Oxford office in August 2022.
Sobiah advises on all aspects of Family Law, she has particular expertise in dealing with complex Private Law Children Act disputes between parents including, child arrangements orders, dealing with relocation applications, change of name and parental alienation. She also advises grandparents on their rights regarding Child Arrangement Orders. Another area of Sobiah’s expertise is dealing with divorce and matrimonial finances in cases involving med-high level assets. She provides advice to clients who require a pre/post nuptial agreement and separation agreement for cohabiting parties. Sobiah also provides advice to clients who require an Islamic divorce. Sobiah also deals with domestic violence injunctions for a Non Molestation and Occupation Order and Forced Marriage Protection Orders.
Sobiah practices all areas of Family Law and supports her clients who are often on a difficult journey through their legal matters. She combines a strong and robust approach with empathy and compassion to help achieve the client’s desired outcome.
