Ben Castle

Senior Solicitor, Reading

My expertise lies in advising on complex financial remedies and child law following a divorce or separation, as well as varying maintenance orders. My solution-based approach helps to avoid damaging confrontation and seek amicable settlements in a proactive manner.

Ben finds solutions to the most emotive and difficult personal challenges, avoiding where possible unhelpful confrontation.

Ben specialises in divorce and financial settlements following the breakdown of the marriage, as well as helping individuals should there be later disputes involving the payment of maintenance and ensuring parties comply with orders made at court. Ben can also assist parents and wider family members in resolving disputes regarding arrangements for children.

Reaching agreement when it comes to both financial disagreements and arrangements for children is often a difficult and highly emotional area. Ben brings calm to the situation as he helps clients to agree on issues such as where and with whom children will live, schooling, medical treatments and access for parents and grandparents.

Ben is a member of Resolution, an organisation that promotes finding amicable, non-confrontational dispute resolutions for family and marital disputes. This can be particularly beneficial if there are children involved, and has the advantage of helping to keep costs down.

Ben offers his clients practical, carefully considered and constructive advice, and looks where possible to reach amicable settlements and solutions in a pro-active manner.
