Day to day role:
Kirsty’s role is to assist the lawyers in the Manchester and Liverpool offices, supporting them in their caseloads, from liaising with clients to helping them prepare for court cases. This can involve taking client instructions, drafting documents, sending letters, preparing Court forms and Bundles and issuing them to Court.
Kirsty enjoys building a rapport with clients and making sure they feel she understands their needs fully.
Career history and experience:
Prior to her legal career, Kirsty used to work for a local council providing 1-1 support for a non-verbal autistic child and her focus was finding ways to assist the child with their communication skills and provide support to their family. Kirsty used to volunteer for the National Autistic Society whilst still at school and provided mentoring to children and young adults in a group setting. Kirsty has also worked in customer service roles.
Kirsty then studied at CILEx Law School in 2016 as a Legal Apprentice before joining a solicitors as a Paralegal and Fee Earner in the personal injury department dealing with cyclist and pedestrian cases and liability disputed matters. She then worked for Co-op Legal Services before joining Stowe Family Law in 2021
Kirsty is studying with CILEx Level 6 at her local college and has chosen Family Law as her elected unit. Kirsty is due to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in the next few years and can then go on to become a fellow of the institute.
She is an Associate member of CILEx
Outside of Work:
Kirsty enjoys going the gym and spending time with family and friends. Kirsty used to ski for Avon Race Team and competed in national race events but now enjoys leisure ski holidays. She loves to attend music events and festivals.
